For me, I lost my gallbladder and learned about other medical issues to manage. However, I am up and around and doing the things that are dear to me. I also had the trip to the USA to visit my friend who has much greater medical issues to deal with. And the cruise from Sanfrancisco to Alaska which was amazing, except that my friend could not get permission from her doctors to come along.. All of that gave opportunities to take photographs, some of which have gone on line and been entered into contests. All MEMORIES!
2018 is on our door step. Very interestingly the Germans call this week, "Between the Years". It is like Christmas finishes the year for us and the New Year has not yet come. I always found that a very interesting way to look at this time.
I am not a maker of resolutions, but I do make plans. One of my plans is "more writing." Not just this blog, but the things I want to write even more. Each and every one of us, takes so many memories to the grave, which will never be known. So, if we are able, it is a good idea to leave some knowledge behind for the next generation.
And then, I have every intention to do more with my photography. While I have had the mobility problems, there just has not been much going out to do that. However, it needs to be picked up again. This has been a hobby since my teens and it gives me great satisfaction. This week I discovered a huge 26 hectares wildlife sanctuary very close to where I live. Well, I knew it was there, but it is the first time I have been there, and it is a goldmine for photos. Here is one of the photos I took on Monday. hope you like it.
